We love you guys, and we’ve made a big mistake.

These crossroads were inevitable. We were going to have to move back inside eventually and in a different world, it’d be because the mask mandate was lifted and we could go back to normal. Mac and I have gone back and forth, fought, cried, and lost plenty of sleep over how to make the transition. These fires only accelerated the inevitable. We decided we would move back inside with masks, but with an outside option to accommodate anyone who is choosing not to wear masks anywhere. I care deeply for all of you and really want to honor anyone with deep convictions. I thought we had made the best decision, but still, lost sleep over the possibilities. What we forgot was clarity.

Without being clear in our desires or expectations, we’ve caused stress and frustration. We’re sorry. That’s exactly what we were trying to avoid. We care way more about your friendship than we do this mask mandate.

Without the mask mandate and 170 different opinions, there would be 1 workout. It would be best if everyone were inside. We’re programming for inside now, and will do our best to give a comparable outside option. If you need a mask, we have blue 3-layer masks on the counter. I will also be receiving 50 more of those clear shields on Friday. The air quality is improving, but we will need to keep the doors shut for a while longer, which makes coaching a lot harder, trying to be in two places. If you need to be outside because you will not wear a mask, please feel free to come and go through the doors as much as you need for equipment/bathroom, chips, etc. And that’s who the outdoor option is for; it’s not for when the outside option looks better than the inside one. The coaches will primarily be inside and are happy to assist you in any WOD clarification, music setup, and clock set up.
